Volunteers Opportunities
Thank you for being a part of one of the most vital teams that makes Ignite both special and excellent: work crew. Not only does the work crew provide needed services to guests, but work crew also puts flesh on the gospel message in a unique fashion.
"If anyone speaks, he shouls do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 4:11
Who? Anyone graduated high school or adult leader
Why? To serve and grow your own spiritual walk and help serve during the Ignite
How? There are two ways to volunteer for Ignite, being on the Work Crew or being a Room Leader.
Work Crew involves meal set-ups, serving, bussing and end of camp clean up including living space, dining hall, kitchen, club room, snack bar, and game room.
Set-up consists of setting the tables and a 15 minute pre-set of perishable items. Serving consists of serving firsts to each table, serving all the seconds to the tables after all the firsts have been served and serving desserts when the kitchen releases them. Bussing consists of collecting and saving leftovers clearing and taking dishes to be washed, clearing trash and wiping down tables to be set again for the next meal. Camp clean up consists of dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the closets, cleaning the bathrooms, sweeping, & mopping the entrances, and polishing the windows. Please Note: Crew members must wear shirts and closed-toed shoes and hair needs to be restrained.
Work Crew Cost: The entire week is absolutely FREE!!!! FREE!!!! Come and enjoy the great SharpTop Cove food, Ignite meetings, transportation and accommodations.
Room Leaders stay in cabins with students and have a unique opportunity for connection.
Room leaders serve as the connection point for students. Ministry time usually doesn't end at the evening service, many times discussion continues in the cabins after service. Room leaders have a unique opportunity to facilitate this discussion. Room leaders are responsible for ensuring all students are present for services and for lights out.
Room Leader Cost: $240 for the entire week.
